Who are the band members and what do they play?

Christopher George is the main artist, but the track features the talents of Charles-Henry Volk, Greg Nicholas, Kenneth Belsham, Olivia Valentina Volk, Rhett Randolph, Robert V Murillo and Sam Houghton!

How and where did you start?

Christopher George has been working as a session trombonist and backing singer for the past decade, working throughout the UK and across the globe. After many years of playing, writing and arranging for other people, he has now written his debut single 'All the way for the win'

What are Christopher George's main influences?

There have been many influences behind Christopher George's music. Some of the more notable influences have been artists including Bruno Mars, The Night Game, Mayer Hawthorne and Cody Fry.

Have you played any notable gigs, festivals or other events? Likewise, radio or TV appearances?

While Christopher George is a brand-new original artist, as a session musician he has an impressive CV playing at such venues as

Cardiff Arena, Sandown Racecourse, the Atlas Arena, Alresford Music festival and Multiple O2 academies. He has also performed at private events located at venues such as the Savoy hotel, the One and Only hotel, Claridge’s, the Dorchester and the Rosewood. Finally, he has performed on television with fellow artist Georgia and the vintage youth

Are there any other interesting or amusing happenings – no matter how small – that Christopher George has been involved with that would be of interest to those who like your music?

Christopher George has always been incredibly clumsy. It earned him a reputation with fellow bandmates as having two left feet. He is forever tripping over Mic cables!

Where was the single/EP/album recorded and who was involved in its production?

'All the way for the win' is an international effort. The male vocals, keys and trombone parts were performed by Christopher George in his home in Peterborough. The Trumpet and Saxophone parts were recorded by Greg Nicholas and Sam Houghton respectively in London. The guitar was performed by Kenneth Belsham in The Drums and Bass guitar were recorded in the US by Rhett Randolph and Robert V Murillo and finally the female vocals were recorded by Olivia Valentina Volk in New Zealand. The song was produced, mixed and mastered by the incredible Charles-Henry Volk based in Kent.

Is there a particular ethos behind the single or any music styles or events that inspired it?

The song was always meant to be a feel-good sound that would inspire people to get up and dance but with some fun to play horn lines thrown in the mix (Christopher George is after all a brass player!)

Can you briefly describe what the song is about?

The song's lyrics are in relation to Christopher George's own near miss experience of dating his wife and how he nearly lost out on

their relationship had he not read the signs properly. It's meant to be uplifting and optimistic song

'All the way for the win' is a message to always aim high and never give up because you never know what or who life has in store!
